BumpTop is a prototype of a desktop environment, designed to improve the functionality of traditional computers to emulate the normal behavior of a real world desk. Is controlled by the interaction of the pointer, making it more suitable for Tablet PCs and palmtops. It was created at the University of Toronto by Anand Agarawala as Master's degree. In BumpTop, documents behave as three-dimensional blocks lying on a virtual table. The user can position the blocks on the desktop using the stylus or mouse. Makes extensive use of the physical effects of launch and blows that are applied to documents when they interact in a more realistic experience. The blocks can be stacked in ways defined. Multiple selection is via a LassoMenu, making this tool is used with a line around the item and then the most common tasks are displayed in a menu type cake. BumpTop is currently compatible with Windows XP / Vista, with versions for Mac / Linux are planned for the future.

TeraCopy 1.2 is a very useful free program configured to copy and move multiple files at maximum speed. TeraCopy can resume interrupted file transfers. The program jumps bad files during copy and shows the skipped files at the end of the transfer. It calculates files CRC checksum on the fly to accelerate source files and target files comparisons. The program integrates seamlessly with Windows Explorer, which allows you to continue working with files the usual way. You will be able to copy or move files with the Drag or 'Copy and Paste' commands by clicking your left mouse button.
The main window also has two interesting columns: Source CRC and Target CRC. TeraCopy has a small window with single file progress bar and total progress bar.
In Windows, a file “in use” or “locked” interrupts copying or moving the file from one place to a different place on disk drives. Windows’s copy/move functionality is rather slow and it can’t address more than one task at a time. These problems can be worked-around with the help of TeraCopy. Once you installed it, you are able to set TeraCopy as the default copy/move manager ('on' by default) and it comes out every time you copy or move a file. TeraCopy offers a supercharge in transfer speed through the use of buffers and admits multiple transfer tasks. If TeraCopy encounters a problem, the whole job isn’t stopped: TeraCopy simply goes on to the adjacent file in the queue.
TeraCopy supplies much information on individual file transfers as well as on the whole operation.
You are able to adjust the buffer size on the fly to accelerate the transfer. The pause feature is of great advantage and the program integrates easily into the context menu.

Copies files faster. It employs dynamically adjusted buffers to cut down search times. Asynchronous copy accelerates file transfer between 2 physical hard drives.
Pauses and resumes file transfers. You can interrupt copy process at any moment to free up system resources and carry on with a single click.

Interactive file list. TeraCopy displays file transfers that have failed and lets you fix the problem and recopy files with problems.
Shell integration. TeraCopy can entirely substitute Windows Explorer copy and move functions, permitting you to work with files the usual way.
Supports Unicode.
